Hello ! Need a quick answer to my question..

Postby Beaglelover » Thu Oct 12, 2017 10:08 am

Hi guys,

I'm dog-sitting my girlfriends beagle for a month while she is abroad visiting her family.. While I am happy to walk her around my condo area ( Mountbatten ), I'm interested in bringing 'Cadet' to a park somewhere to meet other dogs and owners..

1) Which places are good to meet other dog owners/dogs?
2) What times are best to bring Cadet to a park? Ideally i want there to be people there but not too crowded. When should I avoid?e.g bishan dog park
3) Is there anything specific I should know about walking Cadet? I've read a lot of guides online and Cadet is very calm and happy doge..

Thanks ! :)

I think East Coast Park and West Coast Park are great. Mornings and evenings (less hot) and weekends are the best?
Leash your dog at all times, muzzle if it's a big dog...bring plastic poop bags to clear their poops. Hope this helps..

Great, thanks,
Are all parks in Singapore dog friendly and even botanic gardens?

i don't think all parks. but as far as i know, all the parks i visited are alright for dogs.
just be careful.. i can't name any for now, but in the past, i think west side there were lots of rats, so there were pest control firms that set up rat bait poison. not common, but just something to bear in mind.

bishan park, west coast, east coast, sembawang park, woodlands are all dog friendly to me.
botanic garden is great for dogs too

what parks would you recommend to spend quiet time with a dog, in a hammock sleeping and watching the world go by?

Anyone got recommendation of such good hammock hanging place in parks?
East coast is so crowded, though i do see some places with hammocks, i wonder how they can sleep with so many human traffic and noises.

what garden or parks would you suggest? need 2 big trees at a convenient distance, quietness and no policeman coming asking if you are homeless and demanding to see some IDs.

you mean for double hammocks for camping.
i hope your dog is those small types... if its huge, you better make sure the hammock is strong!
